Silver Beach Carousel returns with regular operations March 26

ST. JOSEPH, Mich. – The Silver Beach Carousel will return to regular operations beginning March 26.

“Operating during the pandemic required us to pivot, using a limited reservation system to protect our staff, volunteers and visitors,” Suz Schalon, president of the Silver Beach Carousel Society, said. “We’re excited our visitors can now enter without reservations during our open hours and use their tokens.”

Tokens can be purchased in the Brass Ring Gift Shop. One token is $4, three tokens are $10, and seven tokens are $20.

Masks will no longer be required on the carousel but visitors are encouraged to wear them if they want to.

Carousel surfaces will be cleaned regularly throughout the day.

There will be an initial capacity limit inside the Carousel House.

The Carousel will be open on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 5 pm. As summer nears, more dates will be added.

Staff at the carousel are looking for volunteers. If you’re interested in volunteering, contact coordinator Pat Fisk at [email protected] with the subject line “volunteer”.
