Silver Hawks donation helps Elkhart Little League

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Elkhart Little League had some issues with vandalism.
Someone broke into their locked concession stand and ruined quite a bit of the equipment.
So the South Bend Silver Hawks decided to cut the Little League a check for five hundred bucks to sponsor one of the teams.
The Little League is excited that a big community organization like the Silver Hawks didn't forget about the little guys.
"It makes me glad to be around in this area because people really take care of each other, and they go that extra mile to make sure little kids can go out there and have a good time and stay out of trouble," says Bishop Christensen, Little League President.
The Little League season is set to start in a couple of weeks.
