Silverhawks staying in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. --It appears that the rumors that The Silverhawks are leaving the area are not true.
Silverhawks owner, Joe Kernan told ABC 57 on Monday afternoon that his team is staying in South Bend.
A web site reported the team was considering an offer to move, but Kernen says that is not the case and that he got involved for the purpose of keeping the team in town.
The city recently spent $7 million to spruce up Coveleski Stadium.
