Single car crash ends in flames on Harvey Street

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – Police are investigating a single vehicle crash that happened Wednesday on Harvey Street near Walnut Road in Porter Township.

Jamee Ketchem, 34, was traveling east on Harvey Street when she failed to negotiate the curve.

She crashed into a set of trees causing the vehicle to become fully engulfed in flames.

Ketchem was able to exit the vehicle before the fire started and sustained only minor injuries.

Airbags did not deploy and she was wearing a seat belt. Ketchem was transported to the hospital for her injuries.

Police do not think that alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, they are still investigating at this time.
