WISCONSIN -- A young woman from Wisconsin who grew up in a military family wanted nothing more than to join the ranks of her dad and serve her country.
The Air Force offered her a full scholarship to Marquette University to study nursing. But the Air Force revoked it because the branch forbids single parents from enlisting.
The Air Force said that serving strains the family life and even more so for single parents.
She has appealed to the Air Force and her congressman, who happens to be Vice Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan.
