LEONI TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Many people are still in shock after a passenger train flew off of the tracks.
The Chicago-bound Amtrak derailed Wednesday. It happened near Ann Arbor after it hit a semi at a highway crossing. Six people were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries.
The train was expected to stop in Niles, but Amtrak was forced to arrange alternate transportation. Service is now back up and running today.
