Six-year-old buried in sand dune heads to class

ILLINOIS — The six-year-old boy who was buried in a sand dune for four hours at Mount Baldy in Michigan City returned to school with the rest of his class on Monday.

Nathan Woessner's mom says she is so grateful to have these everyday moments with her son and knows she was close to losing him when he was trapped in that sand dune.

Next week, Nathan and his parents are going back to Michigan City to thank firefighters for saving his life. 

Mount Baldy remains closed due to safety concerns.
