SJCPD nets four arrests while serving warrant in South Bend

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Warrant Officers with the St. Joseph County Police got more than they bargained for Monday when they went to a residence to serve a warrant, and ended up making four arrests.

Authorities say a warrants investigation led them to the 100 block of E. Jennings Street in South Bend where they expected to find 41-year-old Gabriel French who was wanted on charges of Possession of Methamphetamine and Theft.

"During the operation, three additional individuals with active warrants were also located and taken into custody without incident," the SJCPD said.

Twenty-one-year-old Jacob Tate had one warrant out of St. Joseph County for Theft, and two out of Elkhart County for Possession of Paraphernalia and Resisting Law Enforcement.

He now faces an additional charge of False Informing stemming from the arrest. 

Forty-year-old Joseph Sullivan had a warrant out of St. Joseph County for Public Nudity, and 36-year-old Katherine Rivera had three felony warrants out of St. Joseph county for Possession of Methamphetamine. 

She faces new charges of Unlawful Possession of a Handgun and False Informing stemming from the arrest.
