Be prepared for a slow going commute. It's not a bad idea to give yourself 10 to 15 extra minutes of drive time. Roads are slick and snow-covered.
Lake effect snow will taper off by late morning. Low accumulations are likely for the remainder of the morning.
Temperatures may not rise above the freezing mark today, so don't expect snow to melt.
Later this evening, lake effect snow kicks back on again, but the wind out of the west may contain snow to only our Michigan counties (and far northern portions of Indiana).
Additional accumulations are possible for those areas by Friday morning.
Temperatures will stay below freezing Friday through the weekend, so it is a good idea to limit time outdoors to stay safe from the cold.
Next week highs climb into the upper 30s then 40s, so some snow will finally start to melt. With these temperatures, a system on Thanksgiving will likely bring holiday rain instead of snow.
Today: Lake Effect Snow. High 32.
Tonight: Lake Effect Snow. Low 20.
Friday: Lake Effect Snow. High 28.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy. Chance PM snow. High 28.
