Slushy Sunday snow

ABC-57 News: It's been almost two weeks since our last snowfall. That changes Sunday with our next shot at accumulation. A clipper system will slide through from the northwest bringing a quick burst of snow Sunday morning ( Fig 1). If you're an early riser, going to Church or brunch, plan on slushy roadways and possibly low visibility between 6 a.m. and noon.

Models have been fairly consistent with timing and intensity, with peak snowfall happening around 9 a.m. Sunday with one to three inches of accumulation likely (Fig 2). Something to watch though is models as of Friday evening have continued to push this system farther and farther south. If this trend continues Michiana could end up more on the fringe. I address this in my latest video blog. The latest forecast shows areas south and west are more likely to see higher snowfall amounts (Fig 3).

Stay with the ABC-57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Team as we track this system into Michiana, Sunday.
