Small plane crashes in St. Joseph County, pilot not injured

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind, --- A small plane crash in a cornfield near Mayflower Road Sunday afternoon, according to the St. Joseph County Police Department. The pilot flying the plane was not injured.
The incident happened just before 12:30 p.m. on Trunk Trail, west of Mayflower.
According to police reports, the plane's sole engine went out during the flight, but the pilot was able to activate the parachute and land safely.
