Smoky conditions improve Thursday, but that will be temporary as the wind shifts back to the southwest. Temperatures rise, as will the humidity. The dog days of summer are forecast starting this weekend, lasting through much of next week, hot and very humid. There still remains a slight chance of rain Friday and Saturday, the best chance is Saturday night.
