STATEN ISLAND, NY -- A 4-foot-long California King Snake slithered out of a toilet bowl in Staten Island.
It terrified the person living in the apartment home.
The tenant sprayed the snake with bathroom cleaner.
It took a plumber 30 minutes to fish the reptile out of the toilet bowl.
It was taken to a sanctuary in Manhattan.
Officials say the snake was non-venomous, and likely lived as a pet in another apartment.
