Snow and wind make travel treacherous Thursday

NOW: Snow and wind make travel treacherous Thursday

ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast

Wednesday, February 2, 2022

Snow will continue this evening across Michiana. Temperatures will fall through the 20s into the mid-teens as we start Thursday morning. Most of the area will see a break from the snow overnight. Snow will return for spots southeast of South Bend Thursday. Travel may still be very difficult even if it isn't snowing because of blowing and drifting snow Thursday. This is especially true in rural or more open areas that are more prone to blowing and drifting. The snow will finally end Thursday night. Temperatures will dip into the single digits Thursday night, with feels-like temperatures below zero for most of the day Friday. A few snow showers are possible Friday evening, but those aren't expected to cause too many issues. This weekend will be quiet and cold with highs in the 20s.

Tonight: Evening snow showers will taper off overnight. Low 15.

Tomorrow: Cloudy with areas of blowing snow. Snow showers possible, especially S/E of South Bend.

Friday: Partly sunny and cold. A few snow showers possible in the evening. High 18.

Saturday: Mostly sunny and cold. High 20.
