Someone from Walt Disney Elementary tested positive for COVID-19

The Penn Harris Madison school district announced a person who is a member of the Walt Disney Elementary School community tested positive for COVID-19.

The person is believed to have been exposed on Tuesday, March 10 and was present at the school March 11 - 13.

The patient experienced mild symptoms and is at home in self-isolation.

Out of an abundance of caution, anyone who was present at Walt Disney between March 11th through the 13th and is experiencing any of the following symptoms: shortness of breath, cough, and fever -  should stay at home, self-isolate, and contact your medical provider for evaluation and further guidance.

Because the person was not involved in distributing meals from March 16 -23, the health department believes the risk of exposure to those involved with picking up meals is low or non-existent.
