South Bend Airport's terminal expansion getting close to completion

South Bend, Ind.- The South Bend Airport has wrapped up phase two of the three phase project.  The goal is to expand the passenger concourse.  Phase 2 began last November, the project consisted of adding additonal gates and increased seating throughout the airport.


The final phase will feature consolidated passenger screening operations in a single location.


Starting today all passenger security screening will occur in a temporary checkpoint location at the old Terminal C checkpoint, north of the airport atrium.


The final phase is expected to wrap up by mid January.
