South Bend appoints new City Engineer

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- Mayor Pete Buttigieg hired Michael Mecham as the new incoming City Engineer.

Mecham had 15 years experience as a City Engineer in Washington, Utah, and Oregon.

He has worked for U.S.D.A. Soil Conservation Services, where he developed computer models for water distribution and sewer collection.

This is Mecham's first week on the job.
