South Bend Board of Public Safety accepting applications

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—South Bend’s Board of Public Safety is accepting applications for new members until August 5.

The Board of Public Safety acts as the administrative arm of the South Bend Police and Fire departments and is made up of five members and the City Clerk.

The board meets regularly every third Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. but also holds special meetings.

Applicants must live within city limits to apply for the civilian position.

To apply, fill out the form on the city’s website and collect 25 signatures on the back of it.

Applications are due Monday, August 5 to the Mayor’s Office.
