South Bend Common Council members hold State of the Union watch party

The Linden Grill in downtown South Bend was filled with people on Tuesday for Council Members Henry Davis Junior and Oliver Davis' State of the Union watch party.

Immediately following the President's speech, Henry Davis Junior said he was most impacted by what President Obama called a "free and open internet."

"We have areas within this city that are disconnected from broadband internet connectivity where kids are living at." Says Davis Junior. "So, we need to have access to that flow of information and not only that but make sure businesses are able to relocate in those areas. If we don't have that were behind the 8-ball."

Oliver Davis says he agreed with what most of what President Obama had to say.

He says a 21st century business plan is what South Bend can use as well.
