Community Build underway at Kathryn Park
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - South Bend Community School Corporation is campaigning for new students.
With less than a month left before the first day of school, they’re stepping up their campaign.
The district is using billboards and digital ads, in both English and Spanish, to spread the word about open enrollment.
Superintendent Dr. Kenneth Spells says word of mouth is big, and he will be speaking in upcoming radio ads.
Last year was Spells’ first year as superintendent in South Bend, and the mantra was ‘team South Bend’.
This year’s campaign for students is focused on building a future for each student, and envisioning how the children will succeed as adults.
“If you want to join the United States Navy or if you want to go to Harvard, we can help you attain those goals. Whatever you want to do, we can help the students attain that goal,” Spells said.
Enrollment for South Bend Community schools is open now at John Adams High School and opens at all other schools next week.
