South Bend Cubs release Opening Day schedule of events

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Bend Cubs have released their schedule of events leading up the first pitch of the home opener Saturday.

Monday: SB Cubs arrive in South Bend from Arizona.

Tuesday: Team breakfast at PEGGS in downtown South Bend.

Wednesday: SB Cubs take on the University of Notre Dame Men’s Baseball Team in the Charity Exhibition game.

• Gates open at 5 p.m.
• First pitch at 6 p.m.
• 7-inning game
• Tickets cost $5. Proceeds to benefit two charities

Saturday: HOME OPENER at Four Winds Field. SB Cubs take on West Michigan Whitecaps at 7:05 p.m.

• Gates open at 5 p.m.
• Southern Straight Away to preform pre-game concert
• First 1,000 fans to receive a South Bend Cubs pint glass and magnet schedule
• Every inning one fan will win a 50-inch flat screen television.
• Post-game firework show
