South Bend Cubs tickets go on sale

Individual tickets to the South Bend Cubs went on sale Wednesday morning. Within the first nine minutes, more than 400 tickets were sold online.

The very first fans were in line at 6:40 a.m. to wait for the box office to open at 10 a.m.

While fans waited in line, the team provided snacks and hourly giveaways.

President Joe Hart said ticket sales are already brisk.

"We sold over 400 tickets for opening day in nine minutes time. That's not counting the people who were calling in. That's not counting the people who were here. As soon as 10 a.m. hit, it was a flurry of activity around here," said Hart.

The South Bend Cubs open their season at Four Winds Field on April 7th at 7:05 p.m. ABC57 will be live from Four Winds Field for opening day.
