South Bend families invited to Showcase of Schools event Wednesday
ABC 57 SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Community School Corporation is inviting families to the Showcase of Schools event on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the former Clay High School.
District officials say the event is designed for parents and students to connect with teachers, staff, and principals while exploring educational program offerings.
"At South Bend Schools, every program and every educator plays a vital role in nurturing our students’ growth and achievement," said Mansour Eid, superintendent of the SBCSC. “We are excited to showcase the plethora of options available and to strengthen our ties within the community, empowering families to make informed choices for their children's futures.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with educators while discovering the many educational options from Pre-K through high school.
Families can learn more about magnet programs, career pathways, arts, STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), and athletics.
Community partners, including the Casie Center, the Robinson Community Learning Center, the MLK Dream Center, and the St. Joseph County Library, will be in attendance providing resources and support for students and families.
The showcase will also feature a family-friendly “trunk or treat” activity.
Families can collect stamps on a special card at certain tables, and each child will receive a bag of candy upon completion.
