SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- One of the 6 busiest weekends of the year is upon the region.
75,000 fans are expected to fill Notre Dame Stadium, and many will take to local restaurants, bars, and hotels.
The 54 hotels and 1400 across St. Joe County are filling up at higher rates.
Leave on average an impact of 27 million dollars on the region.
“Yes, the impact is just incredible not just South Bend, but to Mishawaka, all St. Joseph County, including our neighbors to the west in Laporte County and Elkhart County,” said Jeff Jarnecke the Executive Director of Visit South Bend Mishawaka.
Those attending the game are being advised to remember the clear bag policy and to have their tickets downloaded ahead of time.
Those not should still be on the lookout for traffic and construction.
“Yeah, it’s going to be a full house we are expecting a sold-out crowd against Northern. As coaches are getting ready to prepare the players for the field. There’s a whole host of staff that are getting ready to welcome fans to campus,” said Lee Sicinski the Vice President of Event Management for the University of Notre Dame.
More details for anyone attending the game can be found here on their athletics website or over on their Experience Notre Dame website.
