South Bend getting into the holiday spirit

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- ABC57 took a trip downtown to see who was getting into the holiday spirit.
The lights were lit and the decorations are up all along Michigan Street in South Bend.
Saturday, people helped decorate the giant Christmas tree outside the College Football Hall of Fame.
We talked to one woman who says she makes enjoying the Christmas lights a family affair.
"It's nice to have, that's for sure. I mean it's really nice to have the community come together, you know for the holidays," said Jenny Bauer.
The official tree lighting ceremony takes place on Friday Dec. 7 at 5:30 p.m.
