South Bend man admits in court to killing his girlfriend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend man admitted in court on Monday to killing his girlfriend.

31-year-old Jorge Cardenas pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter.

His girlfriend, 38-year-old Kim Stout disappeared on March 23, after a night out with friends.

Her body was found several days later, dumped on the side of the road in Cass County.  Police say she was strangled.

Cardenas will be sentenced Nov. 9.  He faces up to 50 years in prison.
