South Bend man airlifted to hospital following crash in Warsaw

WARSAW, Ind. -- A South Bend man was airlifted to a hospital on Monday evening following a collision with a NIPSCO utility pole in Warsaw.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office responded to the accident around 6:15 p.m., and reported that the crash left the victim in critical condition with a head injury.

Initial details indicate that the vehicle was traveling Northbound on State Road 25 when it veered off of the road and across the west side of the highway for an unknown reason.

Upon striking the NIPSCO utility pole, the driver was ejected from the vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation by Kosciusko County officials.
