South Bend man arrested for home invasion accusations in two states

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend man is locked up and accused of being involved in several home invasions in two different states.

Twenty-two-year-old Aaron Smith had to go before a Chicago judge Monday morning after being caught by Chicago police over the weekend.

Smith and another man are charged in connection with three home invasions there. In all three cases, the crooks are accused of hitting victims in the head with a gun and getting away with cash, electronics and cell phones.

South Bend police say they're looking at Smith for several home invasions in the area.
