South Bend man receives 40-year sentence for killing girlfriend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A South Bend man was found guilty of killing his girlfriend, Now he's headed to prison.

A judge has sentenced Jorge Cardenas to 40 years. Cardenas pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter last month. His girlfriend, Kim White-Stout, disappeared on March 23rd after a night out with friends.

Her body was later found in Cass County after Cardenas strangled and dumped Stout on the side of the road.
