South Bend man sentenced to 10 years in federal prison on drug charges

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend man has been sentenced to over 10 years in federal prison on drug related charges.

Fabian Garcia, 30, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Garcia was sentenced to 123 months in prison with 3 years supervised release.

In February 2017, officers with the St. Joseph County Drug Investigation Unit conducted a traffic stop on Garcia's car.

Inside the car, officers found 32.4 grams of crystal meth and a stolen firearm, according to the probable cause affidavit.

Garcia allegedly admitted to being a drug dealer when he was arrested in February 2017.
