SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The United States Department of Justice announced on Tuesday that 34-year-old James Allen of South Bend was sentenced to 110 months in prison after pleading guilty to possessing a firearm, heroin, and methamphetamine.

According to documents in the case, when Allen was arrested on outstanding warrants in January 2023, he had three firearms: a loaded handgun, a loaded revolver and an AR-style pistol with an extended magazine, along with heroin and meth on him.
