South Bend native serving with U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters

A Michiana native is representing her hometown across the United States, serving with the U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters as a chief musician.

Chief Musician Sarah Tietsort, from South Bend, just completed a national tour with the Navy Band.

The musicians performed 19 concerts over 22 days throughout Washington state, Oregon, California and Arizona.

These tours allow the band to connect with communities who don't typically see the Navy's music ensembles.

The tours also give musicians the chance to honor those who have and continue to serve the U.S. in the military.
