South Bend Police Athletic League to host boxing showcase in December

SOIUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Police Athletic League (PAL) has hosted a boxing club for youth in the community since 2006 and will hold their second boxing showcase in December.

Organizers say the program encourages young people to value peaceful and positive ways to resolve frustrations without relying on gun violence.

Though the program has been around nearly two decades, organizers only held their first showcase back in May, which they state was a success, leading to this second one.

They're inviting the community to watch matches between PAL boxers and learn more about the program.

The event is set for Wednesday, December 13 at 6 p.m. at The Beacon Resource Center at 4210 Lincoln Way West in South Bend.

This is a free event, but donations will be accepted to support The Beacon Resource Center.

The PAL Boxing Showcase Attendees are asked to enter through Door A.
