SOUTH BEND, Ind. — The South Bend Police Department is partnering with Goodwill Ministries’ S.A.V.E. Outreach Program to make sure there is plenty of food to go around South Bend this summer.
The Stock Up For Summer Food and Necessity Drive runs now through the first weekend in May.
SBPD is asking for non-perishable food items, hygiene and baby products or monetary donations to be dropped off at its lobby at 701 W. Sample Street or Goodwill’s Career Center at 1805 W. Western Avenue.
On May 6th, a drive-thru food drive will take place at the police department from 8 a.m. through noon.
All donations will be used to stock South Bend Police Department's food pantry, which officers use when they encounter families on patrol that could use some extra help.
