SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend police are investigating two shootings that happened very close to each other on Saturday.
Around 12:10 am, officers heard shots being fired and saw two vehicles shooting at one another.
These vehicles ended up on the 500 block of Studebaker.
Police chased the suspect, 25 year old Denzel Givens, on foot and arrested him.
Then around 12:15 am Saturday morning, police were called to the hospital where a man had a non-life threatening cheek injury.
The victim told police the shooting took place near the Linden Avenue and Brookfield Street.
Both shootings are under investigation as police try and figure out if there is a connection between the two incidents.
