South Bend Police investigating shooting of 17-year-old

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—South Bend Police are investigating a shooting that took place on Wednesday night.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Michigan and Ewing on Wednesday night around 10:20 p.m. for reports of a car with bullet holes heading north on Michigan from that area.

The vehicle reportedly stopped at a gas station at Monroe and Michigan.

Upon arrival at the gas station, officers found a 17-year-old male with an apparent non-life threatening gunshot wound to the upper leg.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The location of the shooting is still under investigation.
