South Bend Police investigating shooting on Kenwood Avenue

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—South Bend Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on West Kenwood Avenue on July 11.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation on Thursday around 5:40 p.m. in the 2200 block of W. Kenwood.

While on scene, officers learned that a shooting victim had walked into a local hospital with a wound to the face around 5:45 p.m.

The 30-year-old male victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The victim reported that he was walking in the area on W. Kenwood when he was shot by an unknown person.

The incident remains under investigation.
