South Bend Police investigating shooting that injured 13-year-old boy

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—South Bend Police are investigating a shooting that injured a 13-year-old boy on Thursday night.

Police responded to the 1200 block of E. Donald Street for reports of shots fired around 7:20 p.m.

Upon arrival, police found a 13-year-old boy with a wound to the hand. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Officers learned that the shooter or shooters were driving in a dark-colored vehicle when shots were fired.

The vehicle then left the scene, according to police.
