South Bend Police investigating shooting that injured 15-year-old
SOUTH BEND, Ind.—The South Bend Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured a 15-year-old boy on Sunday.
Officers were sent to the 2500 block of West Western Avenue around 5:45 p.m. on Sunday.
Once on scene, police found a 15-year-old boy with gunshot wounds to the lower body.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
During their investigation, officers learned that the incident took place in the area of Huron and Meade.
A crashed vehicle was found in the 900 block of Ewing that was believed to be involved in the incident, police said.
