South Bend Police launch online tool for reporting non-emergency crime trends

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Police Department launched a new online tool that allows residents to report non-emergency crime trends in their neighborhoods.

Through the South Bend Police Department Drug or Property Complaint tool, residents can now conveniently share their concerns about drugs, criminal gang or group activities, traffic, weapons and more and remain anonymous while doing so.

The tool should not be used for emergencies or crimes happening in real time, as officers are not dispatched through the platform.

Time-sensitive emergencies should still be directed to 911 and time-sensitive non-emergencies should be directed to 574-235-9201.

To access the tool, click here or visit the South Bend Police Department's website and click the "How Do I?" tab followed by "File a Drug or Property Complaint".
