South Bend Police officer involved in crash

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend Police officer was involved in a crash at Laurel and Auten roads Monday.
The crash, involving several vehicles, happened around 11:22 a.m.
St. Joseph County dispatch said the officer swerved to avoid the accident, but was unsuccessful.
The officer was not hurt.
