South Bend Police investigating stabbing

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police are investigating a stabbing that happened in the 400 block of S. Eddy just before 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police said they learned a group met at Bronson and Eddy when an altercation broke out.

A man was stabbed in the leg and was taken to the hospital.

The injury was not life threatening, police said.

The suspect fled the scene on foot.

Another person who was at the meeting left in a vehicle and crashed about a block away, police said.

The person was located and arrested for leaving the scene of a crash, reports said.
