South Bend police use armored vehicle, with positive response

South Bend's Police Department is making our community safer by using a unique tool.  It's an armored vehicle they call the Armadillo.  It has been parked in neighborhoods near Lincolnway West, and so far, it seems to be getting positive feedback.

Friday, the vehicle was parked along Johnson Street, one block away from where 18 year old Nathan Hall was shot and killed in April of last year.

The Armadillo is actually a former Brinks armored truck, loaded with surveillance equipment.
