South Bend schools all clear after temporary lockdown

A South Bend schools representative says Riley High School, Monroe Primary School and Xavier School of Excellence are all clear after an early-morning lockdown.

South Bend police locked the schools down after a man at a nearby residence called police, threatening to kill himself.

Police say the man was somewhere in the 400 block of E. Eckman when he made the call. They are now searching for him.

No one was allowed inside the schools during the soft lockdown.
