South Bend Schools to host a parent and family expo to meet teachers

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Families with kids in South Bend schools are invited to a parent and family expo to meet and network with members of district parent teacher organizations, educators, and administrators, on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

There will be activities for students, including face painting, music, and a bounce house courtesy of South Bend Venues Parks and Arts.

The South Bend Community School Corporation and Family and Community Engagement services has partnered with MDWise, South Bend Venues Parks and Arts, and Gear Up South Bend to host the free event on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Brown Community Learning Center located at 737 Beale St. in South Bend.

Washington High School Girls Basketball Coach Steven Reynolds will also be giving a speech.

MDWise will provide free immunizations, vision and dental screening, as well as discuss how families can check their Medicaid coverage after COVID-19 Medicaid coverage protections end.
