South Bend shooting sends one person to the hospital

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Officials report that they received a call around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday concerning a shooting at the 100 block of South Michigan Street that sent one female victim to the hospital.

Information about the severity of the victim’s injuries and the status of the suspects involved in this shooting is currently unavailable.

Police say there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The scene of this shooting is currently active and an investigation by the South Bend Violent Crimes Unit is underway.
