SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Today South Bend Venues Parks and Arts joined cities across the country in celebrating Kids to Parks Day.
The kids took over both Potawatomi and Kennedy Parks for three hours filled with field games, music, and live entertainment.
The special day is an initiative of the National Park Trust, which is designed to connect kids and families with their local, state, and national parks.
Each year, approximately one million families get outside to enjoy their local parks through Kids to Parks Day events.
