South Bend Transpo hosts job fair May 6

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Public Transportation Corporation (Transpo) is hosting a job fair on Saturday to fill open positions for mechanics, bus cleaners and fuelers.

The fair runs from 10 a.m. to noon at Transpo's Administrative Office, located at 1401 S. Lafayette Blvd.

Right now, Transpo is hiring mechanics for first and second shift, and bus cleaning and fueling positions for second shift.

These jobs require a Class B CDL with passenger and airbrake endorsements.

CDL training is available for qualified applicants.

If you can't attend the fair, applications will be accepted online or at the administrative office Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Transpo routes #6 South Michigan and #12/14 Rum Village/Sample to Broadway Street offer easy access to the administrative office.
