South Bend woman sentenced to 55 years for murder

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Marqisha Thomas was sentenced to 55 years in prison for the murder of her 29-year-old boyfriend Civon Green on April 18, 2022.
Her case was previously scheduled to occur in December 2022 before being pushed back to April 2023 because of court backlogs.
The 27-year-old will be held in the Indiana Department of Corrections.
Her case was held in front of Honorable Judge Elizabeth Hurley.
The sentencing range for the offense of Murder in the state of Indiana is between 45 years and 65 years.
