South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestra to host video game music summer camp
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestra will be hosting its first-ever summer camp starting on Monday for students grades seven through 12.
The video game-themed music camp starts on Monday, runs through June 17, and meets from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the South Bend Century Center.
As a part of the theme, campers will learn various video game tunes, from classics like Super Mario Bros to more contemporary pieces like the Halo soundtrack.
All who participate will receive a box lunch each day and a youth orchestra t-shirt.
Those who are not current members of the orchestra will have a chance to audition for the 2022-2023 season.
Capping off the camp will be a concert performance of the music learned during the week on June 18 at 1 p.m.
